The Psychology department at Shekhar Hospital helps people cope with minor stress and interpersonal problems before transform into severe neurobehavioural/neurocognitive and psychiatric problems. The team is fully equipped to cater to the mental health needs of children, adolescents, adults and geriatric population.

Along with general psychiatry services, the Psychology department also specializes in treating alcoholism, substance abuse and psycho-sexual disorders. Further, the team is known for the psychological management of intellectual disability, developmental disorders, and emotional and behavioral problems in children and adolescents.
